How we verify

Texas EV Electricians is compiled from public records, not from who paid to be listed.

Sources

• TDLR All Licenses file (data.texas.gov 7358-krk7) — Every license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, including Electrical Contractor licenses with business address, phone, county and expiration date. Published on the Texas Open Data Portal.
• TDLR license search — The state's own one-at-a-time license lookup — use it to confirm a license before you sign.

We download every row in the TDLR license file where the license type is Electrical Contractor. TDLR publishes the expiration date as text; we convert it and keep only licenses that expire on or after the day we checked. Expired licenses are simply left out — we never label a named business as unlicensed.

We list contractors with a Texas business address, by the city in that address. Contractors licensed in Texas but based out of state are not shown. Names and addresses are as filed with TDLR, converted from capitals to normal case.

Some company names mention solar, generators or EV charging; we show those words as a hint only. The TDLR license covers electrical work generally — it does not certify any particular specialty, so ask each contractor about their EV and generator experience.

Order within a city is alphabetical. Featured contractors appear in a separate, labelled box and never change that order.

What a badge means

Licensed: the business appears in the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation license file as an Electrical Contractor with an expiration date on or after the day we checked. We only publish positive matches. A listing without a badge is not an accusation — most gaps are name variations between registries.

Freshness

Data was last refreshed on 2026-09-30. TDLR updates the license file daily; we re-pull it weekly.
